Salisbury Community Solar Project Goes Live in Maryland

ECA Solar, in collaboration with Luminace, today announced the successful energization of a 3 MW community solar project in Salisbury, Maryland. The project represents continued expansion of clean energy infrastructure on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and reinforces both companies’ commitment to advancing community solar across the state.

The Salisbury project will provide locally generated renewable energy to Maryland residents and businesses through the state’s community solar program, supporting energy cost savings and statewide decarbonization goals. The project is expected to generate enough clean energy to power approximately 450+ local households annually.

“I’m proud to share that we have officially interconnected a Maryland community solar project on the Eastern Shore,” said Jack Rowland, Development Manager at ECA Solar. “This milestone reflects a tremendous team effort, and I’m grateful to our partners and colleagues who helped make it possible. I’m excited to build on this momentum and bring an additional 20 MW online this year across the state of Maryland.”

“We’re proud to announce that the Salisbury community solar project is now delivering clean, affordable power to homes and businesses across Maryland,” said Robert Rabe, Chief Development Officer of Luminace. “For nearly 20 years, Luminace has been committed to investing in Maryland’s energy future. With over 120 solar projects developed across the state, this project represents another meaningful step in expanding access to renewable energy, supporting local economic growth, and helping communities reduce their energy costs.”

Maryland remains a key growth market for ECA Solar and Luminace, supported by strong community solar demand and a stable policy framework. With additional projects advancing, the company continues to expand its footprint as it scales its operating portfolio across the state.
